Made the mistake of trying to help out a young energetic guy that wanted to win a trip. I had been wanting to buy a subscription to the magazine that I ordered anyways, so I paid $38.00 for a two year subscription. Like the other two complaints on this site, I called after a few months to see when I was going to get my magazine only to be told about the 120 - 160 day wait. I did not read the tiny print on the reciept about this time frame or I would have just passed on the whole thing. It also says in the tiny print that they are not affiliated with any high school or college which I did not notice.
It has been 198 days since I placed the order and still no magazine, so I called again the other day and the office manager was (conveniently) out and would call me back. Didn't get a call... Imagine that. The office manager's name is Tissa Ketcherside and her number is 866-708-2626.in her rebuttal to case #352158, she stated that the time frame is 120 - 190 days... Doesn't even know what their policy is. You can't tell me in this day of technology that it takes them over half a year to start a magazine subscription. They probably hope people will either forget about it over time or lose their reciept.
It upsets me that I threw $38.00 in the trash can, but what upsets me more is that fact that if school kids were to knock on my door to really try to raise money, I would have to send them away... It's a shame that some people have to ruin it for others.
