On 7/31/08 i made the mistake of talking to pinnacle security door to door salesman. He said that this was a promotional offer for there system and i could cancel at any time if i didnt like it or didn't want to pay anymore. It was going to be 49$ a month.
He said that the fee i was going to be paying for letting them avertise with my name was just a city fee and the alarm service was free. I should of knew right then but i was stupid and did the deal. After talking to kansas city police there is not a fee of 48$ a month for an alarm.
When we signed every thing he skiped over it real quick and said several more times that i could cancel at anytime and that it didnt say it on the paper work because they didnt have a form for the promotional offers.
On 8/18/08 i called them and said cancel my service. The very rude lady said that i couldnt and would owe them for 39 months of service, that was the first i had heard of it. I told her what the guy had said and she said it didnt matter what he said or promised me i still owed them 1800$ or so. Well i told her to jump in the lake. Watch out in Kansas City.
