I purchased a western union money order on 07/03/08 in the amount of $382.00. Turns out the money order was null & void and returned to my rental office from the BB&T bank for non payment. I was given only a photo copy as the bank could not give me the original MO.
A rep at BB&T called western union with me to confirm the issue and a resolution. I was told to send in the original reciept with my conact info, etc. I called western union to get a status on my refund and was told that they had mailed me a photocopy to show that it had been cashed. I explained what had transpired prior to sending in for a refund and was then told that there was a system problem and that it had not actually been cashed, but appears so in the system. I was told that it would be investigated and that I would recieved my refund.
I later called back to confirm the status and was told again that it was alredy cashed and that a photocopy was sent to me to confirm. Again I explained the situation, but was told that it was cashed.
Speaking to a manager was not an option as I did as on every occassion. They will not let me speak to a manager and either end up hanging up the phone on me.
Western union has stolen from me and refuses to deal with the issue at hand. I want this to be told throughout the world. I no longer use their MO.US postal MO is the way to go from now on.
