To ANYONE who received anything from Groiler, Groiler books, Beginning Readers Program ect.
I received a box of books in the mail one day marked Scholastic, actually sent form Groiler books, addressed to my 6 month old son. I never opened the box simply put it back in the mail with a "Return to sender" written in big black permanent marker on it. I never ordered anything online ever.
I have no need to purchase books as my sister is an elementary school teacher and gets them dirt cheap through book drives at her school. A month later, ON CHRISTMAS EVE no less (true story), I received a letter that my account with Groiler Books was being sent to collections. Funny that the collection company has the same address as Groiler Books in Jefferson City, Mo.
So I searched the internet to find a telephone number for Groiler Books and found this website. I called the customer service number (800-353-3140) and told them I sent it back. The customer service agent said she would remove me from any collection list and that everything was handled. We shall see.
I am writing this message because I work with credit everyday at my job as a loan officer. I know that even 1 collection of $14.95 even can ruin your credit for the next 7-10 years. It is concidered derogatory credit and for some people can mean a difference in a mortgage payment of thousands of dollars annualy.
This money is thrown away in intrest payments because some scam artist wanted to make a few bucks. Do not pay them. If you didn't order it, send it back. Groiler, Groiler Books customer service number again 800-353-3140.
