Turned off service, not for now paymrnt

On August 1 my service was turned off. When i called NICOR to see why, I was informed I had to talk to customer srvice. When I called back and put in my account number in the ausion stated last payment was 7/15/08 in the amount of $162.00. My wife had set us up on the peferred payment plan and this was the first. When i finally got to talk to an agent she informed me that or service was turn off because they did not receive a conformation number that we had paid the bill.

I formed her that when I called the automate system showed my last payment was 7/15/08. The agent stated that they only go by conformation number, that they do not check the automated stsyem. I formed her we never was told that we had to call a give a conformation number.in short I had to pay the full amount which was $550.02. My wife went and paid the bill. She was informed the next available date to turn or service back on would be 8/8/08. So we have been with out gas service since 8/1/08.

When I got in form work yesterdau i called NICOR the agent was verry rude she refuse to give her name and when i asked to speak to a supervisorshe put me on hold for abou 20 min checking ffome time see if I was still on the phone. Finally came back and stated the supervisor wasn't aviaible and laugh and said he we call you back, needless to say they never did call back.
