Nowadays they have these consignment shops with Ebay accounts where you can take your stuff and they just auction it off on Ebay rather than you doing it yourself. I guess it sounds good in theory, but the reality of my experience is pretty grim.
I tried to buy a $150 piece of hardware from an Ebay "trading assistant" called Edropoff Express. It was listed as new and in excellent condition but the item they sent me had several dents, a cracked casing, and was covered in duct tape residue. I got no response to my complaints for several days so I opened a dispute with them in Ebay. They responded to the dispute and said that I had to pay to send the item back to them and that if they did not get it within 7 days of that email, my refund would be denied! I had to pay to send it back (I got no refund for the return shipping either!) and the day after UPS confirmed that it was received, I found that Edrop-off had re-listed the item in Ebay as brand new and in excellent condition!
If you go to myworld. Ebay.com/edropoff / and go to the sellers store and use the search tool to search edrop-off's store for the words "new" or "tags" you get all kinds of brand-new high-end stuff like Prada, Gucci, LV... But these guys are just a consignment shop with an Ebay account so where do they get all that brand new stuff? And how do they get all that designer stuff which are advertised with close up photos of the thousand dollar price tags from other stores still attached? I think that either they have a team of shoplifters or they have an overseas supplier of fakes and they make the price tag themselves.
