I bought an NEC projector from this Seller list on Ebay. The projector was listed in EXCELLENT condition however stopped working a few days later. When I contacted the seller she only advised me to take advantage of the insurance coverage provided and will not even discuss a resolution between us. I reported this LEMON csale to Ebay's claim center with absolutely no help. They denied my claim because it took a few days for this item to break so basically they are saying I"m out of luck. Now if this item listed in EXCELLENT condition was to break within 3 days then they can help but nothing beyond that. Are they implying that EXCELLENT means it will only last 3 days or less. I'm very confused on their logic. Now I'm out $325 and the only thing they can tell me is to defraud the insurance company offering coverage for this item.
The insurance company is called SquareTrade. I've sent a question to SquareTrade asking if this would be ethical or legal however I have not gotten a response yet. Regardless SquareTrade will not even cover this item until 6 months later. The sellers refusal is based on logic that she does not know what has transpired since I've received the item therefore regardless if this is a true defect or not she will not accept the return. I've offered to have the item shipped directly to Ebay at my expense for their technicians to review and to determine wither or not it has been tampered with however my offer was declined. Ebay's protection program is WORTHLESS since it did nothing to protect me here. I was new to Ebay and spent over a thousand in about a week but will never do business again on Ebay and have closed my account since. If anyone knows how I can get my money back please help.
