I was looking for a rental property and enlisted the help of an agent to assist me with my search. The agents, who were wonderful, and not who this rant is about, showed me several great places. I decided on one, and I was scheduled to move in at the end of the month. I had paid my deposit and fee to Liberty Realty LLC, and was looking forward to my move. Well one thing led to another, and the owners of the building and the building management made it extremely dificult for me to schedule my move, and I decided to pull out of the deal, which was within my rights.
My agents acted quickly to get me my money returned, however, the company proved to be extremely difficult to work with. Delay after delay from the Broker of Record, double talk and excuses. Then they proceded to tell me (2 weeks later) I could not get my money back for the fee I had paid due to all the work they did... The agents I worked with didn't get paid, so who did? THE COMPANY. I needed that money returned to me so I could pay the deposit on the new apartment I had decided to move into.
Digusting, unprofessional, untrustworthy, and downright dirty practices by the Broker of Record of that company.
I did eventually get my money, but the overall experience is one noone should endure.
