I wish I had known about this before I hung my license with Chris.
I see that there is another report of this very same thing, so we obviously are not the only ones getting the cold shoulder.
On my very first transaction with the company it has become a daily battle to get paid. Mr. Hanson has no concern for the agents needs and blames the delay of getting a check on being in hard times, meaning that he laid of 27 employees and had to downsize to one office. It is so bad in fact, that he has to do all of the administrative work with the commissions and check the files for being complete.
You will hardly ever find him in the office and he won't answer his cell phone either.
It is common practice in the industry to give the agents their commission check on the very same day or the next day if the closing package comes in late from the title company. There does not seem to be any guidelines concerning this payment to the agents with any of the controlling agencies, thus creating this windfall for unethical brokers! The agents must be paid but it just does not say when.
Thus the saying "Caveat Emptor" but in this case AGENTS BEWARE!
