I was a first time Ferragamo shopper and visited your store in Troy, Michigan. Unfortunately, I purchased a sales item (shoes) and later located an alternative item at another store. I went back to the store to make the return (within 2 hours) and the manager informed me sale items are non-returnable and non exchangeable. She further stated that this is typical of most "luxury" stores and they do not make it a habit to verbally inform every customer of their policy. I wouldn't have an issue with this if there was a sign posted in the store stating this policy or if the salesperson informed me of such after he asked me specifically if this my first purchase as he input my contact information in their database; however none of these things occurred. The manager indicated the policy is stated on the receipt, which of course is AFTER the purchase.in addition, the salesman places the receipt, along with his card, inside a red envelope. I find this practice quite misleading and NOT befitting a store of such apparent quality. If this is how you treat your customers, it is apparent that sales are your paramount concern and not your customers.
