I was imployed by impact in october as a bike technician. As we all know that is the beginning of the Christmas rush so I had planty of work somtimes doin 2 or 3 stores a day. The pay was good for the work. Its not rocket science..
January came around and workd slowd which I expected having workd in retail for a long time. After february the workd pickd back up slowly. The only complaint I had was my pay checks were short or sometimes I wudnt receive 1 at all. I'd call my district manager Daniel Herrera and he told me about a com-check system. Basicly a payday advance type of deal..
Over the 1st year I had to request 3 advances. Each were deducted out of my paycheck. The funny thing is the more my work orders were money wise somthing would always happen. Either my check wasn't for the rite amount or impact wud tell me they never received the paper work in the mail and I would have to trace it through the post office which never workd...
I went several times with no pay at all... Evrytime I workd with another coworker thay had the same complaints... As time went on my district manager would not call me back or answer my text or emails at all. Which I put on record with human resource and my dispatcher. 2007 gose by now its a year I had no store complaints no complaints frum impact but my work was getting shorter and they were trying to send me further away for small work orders..
2008 comes around january was slow as usuall. So I wasn't worried. February comes and I'm chekn the system and it kept saying "no work scheduled" this went on 4 a month and a half... Once again no 1 frum impact would answer my calls emails or text msgs. March comes and I receive paper work for a class action law suit against impact for mutiple purposes. I never wantd to join the law suit and I didn't.
I just wanted to know why I wasn't on the schedule or in the system by this time. Again no calls or emails returned... They never even gave me a call to ask about their tools? Now that's strange. No explainatio n what so ever. Now its july and I'm still not in the system but they sent me my overtime pay but not my last 2weeks of work frum february?
The way I found this page was I was tryin to find an adress for them so I cud finally file my unemployment which I didn't want to do. I just wanted my job or some explanation why I wasn't getting any work since I was never written up or verbally repremanded by impact or target or k-mart. I lost my car and almost my appartment. I'm a single father of two kids and I feel they owe me atleast that
