I transferred my mothers direct tv service in June of but before we moved one of the workers at the apartment complex told me that I would not be able to receive a signal where I was moving (in the same apartment complex but on a different side). I informed direct tv but they said that they still had to come out and check and if there was no line of sight I would not be charged an early termination fee because I cant receive their signal.
They came out on June 12 and the guy call me at work and told me that they did not get a line of sight which is the signal, so I called direct tv and they told me that they would send me some boxes for the receivers and again I was told that I would not be charged and early termination fee.
I got a statement a week ago and they charged my card for an early termination fee. When I called them I spoke with a supervisor named Christopher and he said that I should have not been charged because I could not receive the signal. He told me to call back on the following Monday so that they could refund my money. I called them back and spoke with a supervisor named Rose and she told me that even though I didnt cancel the service voluntarily I still will be charged the early termination fee.
