Their Slogan when you call their phone # is We Bring Joy to your life. NOT!!!

We called JoiPhone they would not do anything over the phone as far as billing. They told us we had to email them at [email protected] We did 4 times no response over a 1 month time frame. They owe us 6-8 months credit which they said we would get for all of the down time and service failures. They also said they would exchange out our router with the new voip router to fix the problems we were having

But now they are saying we have to pay for 2 more years upfront to get the router or buy it outright which is not what they told us and amounts to blackmail. They also give this new router away free to new customers, yet do not care about supporting existing paying customers or keeping their word.

Furthermore their service is misleading and false advertising as the router we currently have is supposed to be a router and support multiple computers, 2 phone lines over a broadband connection. After 8 months we find out that that is not the case. Then they confirm this with us because of all of the headaches. Then we were told again we would be getting 6-8 months of credit to our account and the new router which is a real router and supports what we signed up for in the first place. We signed up for a 2 year plan with them which provided a free router. This router has been exchanged 3 times in about 1 year time. Yet they now refuse to send us their new router for some reason even when they told us they would, along with crediting us with 6-8 months due to downtime. All the information and complaint is below that was sent to them 4 times...

We are due credit which we were promised. And we are not signing up for 2 years up front again just for a router. You either provide us with the credit and exchange the non SPA 2102-r router with the RPT300 which actually works as a router so we do not have to use another router in front of your router as we do today to get the service.

If not we will be filing formal complaints and taking action against your company for false advertising and deceptive business practices. Once we have our credit we are due and were promised and an exchanging our unit for the RPT3000 router and the service works as you say it should we have no problem being a long term customer and signing up for years to come. But until then these serious matters need to be addressed and finalized.

I was told I had to write an email instead of actually talking to the billing department on the phone like a normal company for the credit we were promised. We have a long history which you as well as I have a record of. We were promised 6-8 months of credit for all of the down time we have had with our Voip service. Our service has been so unreliable since October. We have gone through all engineering and other departments. Finally after all this time the issue has been temporarily resolved by us having to use a free standing router in front of your router.

So two issues.
First issue: We want the 6-8 months of credit we were promised, credited to our account so it shows in the interface.

Second issue: We want to exchange the spa2102-r router with the new JoiPhone router RTP300 router which we were promised. This is not an upgrade, the spa2102-r is not a broadband router as stated which is false advertising. We have 20 MBPS internet service and the spa2102-r router knocks it down to 5MBPS and drops calls and goes down for hours on end. After months and months of techs we figured it out by putting a stand alone router in front of your spa2102-r router.

So 2 Routers, yes 2 Routers in order to get your service to work as advertised and also get the 20 MBPS internet speed we pay for. We have to return the borrowed router to our friend so we will be stuck once again with the spa2102-r router. So please send us the RTP300 router which will allow us to hook up both phone lines and our pc's to the router so we get no dropped calls and get the 20 MBPS internet speed that we should have received from day one over a year ago. Once we receive it and hook it up we will return the spa2102-r router back to you as we have always done.

Deliver what you promise and close out our tickets once and for all and then we will be customers of yours for years to come.
