It all started when I decided to look for some goods I could by in bulk for the family and to resell. So what I did, like so many people do, is check the search engines. I now know that you should never do that since many of the "hustlers" who call themselves "wholesalers" hang out there! Anyway, I digress. I found dollaritem.com and decided I would purchase a small order with them. I had seen them advertised before, and noticed they had a minimum of $300 to purchase items in bulk but had later changed it to $50. They sent emails notifying me of this change. So I purchased a few household goods totaling over $50 using my bank debit card. The company billed me for half the order $25 and then they would take the remainder of the bill upon receipt. I waited for my order for about two weeks and it never arrived. Just when I decided to call the company, I received an email from Veronica Avalos stating my phone number was disconnected. So I called her, gave her my phone number and she read all my information to me and confirmed the order. She said she needed to verify my information before the order was sent out.
So far so good, until I waited again for almost another two weeks and still no delivery! I contacted Ms. Avalos via telephone and email and I received no response. I left a message on her voice mail (never losing my cool, mind you) stating that I didn't receive the order. She contacted me within a week. (After I called the company requesting another sales representative or manager to speak to, they took my name and directed me to her again.) That's when I knew she was either working alone with orders and fell behind or the person on the phone told her it was me. She told me that she needed to verify my address. I told her, "Didn't we do this the last time?" She replied with hesitation in her voice, "Oh I think we got the zip, wrong. Okay it will be sent out." I asked her, "When will I receive it?" and she said it would be going out the same day. I should receive it by next week.
Needless to say, still no show! I contacted my bank, filed a claim, and the bank gave me a "temporary credit." A couple of months later the credit is reversed as a "temporary debit"! By this time, I am furious, I contacted the bank and asked them, "Why would they do this, I didn't receive anything! They said they needed to allow for the business to respond. Of course, give them time to make their case! So I wonder how many other people have had the run around about their orders with this company? I recommend that if you have small orders with a company such as this, be careful! They are more interested in those $300 minimums! Suddenly, they can't seem to deliver on small orders, even though they already have my money!
