If my memory serves me right, sometime back in 1987-88 i
Ordered a small pine bed set for my kids. Time went by
And fingerhut corp. Delivered only part of the bed. (one
Side rail, one headpc., and no matress, no drawers, no
Slats to support the non-existant matress..) i called and
Spoke to someone in billing or customer service, i cant
Remember it was so long ago... But i do remember them
Charging me for the entire balance and stating they would
Send the correct parts to finish the bed assembly. (no
Screws came with it either...) they never came... They
Kept sending me bills for the complete bed but i refused
To pay. Finnaly i called them and made an arrangement to
Pay half of the bill (i believe it was around$186.00)
Because they kept sending nasty notes through the mail to
Me. I also recieved phone calls. All i wanted was a bed
For my son, not a major war with this company that
Contacted me in the first place with unsolicited mail...
Needless to say about a year later i recieved another
Call from them regarding my "unpaid balance"...
I explained the whole story again for whoever it was that
Called from their company. They said fine, they would fix
The problem.
Irecieved abill this week for $1010.71 thirteen years
