I received a letter of instruction, along with a check for $4,995 as well from this proposed "company." I was told to moneygram money to myself then file a report on the actions and courtesy of the agent at the moneygram facility.
Next, I was to choose one of the retailers they listed, K-Mart, J C Penny, etc., and make a purchase there and fill out a form and get it back to them.
First of all, I tried calling the number on the correspondence and got no answer, only a message box that was "full of messages." Then I looked here on the internet and found other concerns from people exactly like me.
If this correspondence was sent to someone who wasn't particularly "leary" of anything related to bank account numbers, etc., they would probably jump on it thinking they would be making that $150 to do this simple thing.
This company cannot be found on the BBB in Texas.in checking the address, it appears this address is part of Alliance Communities, an apartment living entity sponsered by Broadstone.
Be careful people, they will get your bank account number when you deposit that check and track you like a rat and get your money!
