I made the mistake of buying a puppy from nance toth from my pretty pets in january. I paid her 700.00 and met her 200 mikles from my home. When I got there she charged me an additional 125.00 for travel and stated that she would have to mail the dogs registration papers to me as they were not in yet she already had 700.00 of y money so i agreed.
When i got my shih tzu home i discovered quickly that something was not right. She was sick and pooping blood when i took her to the vt he said that she was riddled with tapeworms and that she had a bacterial infection. 3 days later she was back at the vet again pooping blood. She had another type of infection that had to again be treated with expensive medication.
Nance informed us that the dogs had never seen a vet and that it was normal for puppies to poop blood that this means they need worming and that this would happen every 10 - 12 weeks. This is not the way that i have ever been taught or my vet for that matter.
I asked about my registration papers at the same time and was told that i would get them when they came in. I have never gotten them. Under nys law i am entitled to a 75 percent refund and my vet bills paid and retain the animal under these conditions now she will n0ot awnser my emails either.
Nance was turned in to the dept of ag for selling pets without a licence and to the aspca for selling sick dogs. Well it turnes out that a few others have also complained. She is finally going to court tonight on criminal charges. Very serious charges and there are several.
Please do not buy a pet from this woman ever i am still fighting with the state attny general 's assistance to get my 618.75 plus vet bills paid. I love my pup very much and she is healthy now but all total with travel vet bills and the dog itself i have around 1500 invested in this dog i could have gotten alot more for that kind of money from another breeder.
She looks great though and i can say she has no bite issues and her coat is gorgeous she is a silver blue. But she was weened to soon and has some issues with licking everything in site and seperation anxiety. We wouldnt trade her now but if i knew before hand i would not have boutht this pup.
She has 17 ads on puppyfind right now advertising these dogs with akc pedagrees that are mixed breed hybrid dogs that anyone knows cannot be registered. These are paperless dogs being sold as akc reg that is fraud. She is also a puppymill with 13 adult dogs that she is constantly breeding. Please for your own good do not buy from her and really check out any dog you buy. Go see the home and the parents before you buy. I have another dog and we had the best experience with her. Because we saw the home and met the mom and dad. You really have to ckeck out breeders well for you own good.
