Ripped off $200 - checks that were never mailed but expired

When I signed up for Comcast triple Play, I was told that I would get $200 in rebates through broadbandoffers.com.

I filed in all the forms as required and later followed up to check the status. After a few months it showed it was processed and a couple of months later it showed it was shipped. After waiting for some time I tried to call to find out, but there was no contact information readily available.

Finally, when I got the number through Comcast, they told that the checks were mailed, but since they were not cashed in 60 days, they expired and I was out of $200!!!

They tell me that it was mailed by first class mail, but there is no proof. If I tell IRS that I mailed my taxes by first class mail and if they did not receive it, it is my responsibility to make sure they receive it. However with Broadbandoffers.com, they seemed to have no such responsibility. How convenient!!!

Has anyone else experienced the same?
