I recently returned from an overseas trip. I just received my AT&T Wireless bill. I was astonished to be charged for a number of "received" calls-$3.49 each, although I never answered the calls or spoke with anybody.
I called AT&T customer service. I was given a load of corporate double-talk ordering me to pay for calls in which I never participated. I told the rude representative to transfer me to a supervisor.
The supervisor repeated the same double-talk. I interrupted her and told her that charging for conversations never made was not acceptable and that I would cancel my service if she persisted.
I finally prevailed and had the charges removed from my bill.
I am afraid that AT&T is doing this to everybody though. Please check your bill for charges for unanswered calls. Do not accept these charges. Argue with a supervisor and threaten cancellation of your account if necessary.
AT&T is attempting a huge ripoff and must be stopped.
