When I signed up with MCI I was told that I would have a 5 cents a minute rate anytime of the day or night. Well, whenever I used long distance, MCI would charge me $1.00 per minute. Not only were the rates not right but they were charging me on my phone bill and then sending me a seperate bill in the mail for $15.95.
I refused to pay the seperate bill because I was paying my monthly fee on my phone bill which was $4.95. The rate I agree'd to was $4.95 a month for a five cent a minute rate anytime of the day or night. I called MCI to cancel my account. They still have not stopped billing me.
Every month, charges from MCI are placed on my phone bill for serive I do not have and I keep getting not so friendly letters stating that I owe MCI over fifty dollars.
I do not have long distance services through anyone because I use a 10-10 number, I have called, e-mailed and sent letters to MCI concerning this matter and they still have not stopped this nonsense.
I have also contacted my local phone company (BellSouth) and told them to stop allowing MCI to place charges on my phone bill because I do not have their services.
If anyone can help me along with others who have been abused by this fraudulent company please contact me. I believe a class action lawsuit should be filed against MCI.
