Customer service was fast and friendly when soliciting my business.
I entered into a contract for a 20' container load from the California to China because I was told a full container load would take about 4-5 weeks while waiting for a consolidated shipment would take 8 weeks.
After the actual pick-up happened, I did not hear from them for 2 weeks only to be told there were additional charges for packing and a "general rate increase". The additional charges added up to $900. I was also told if I did not pay up within 48 hours my shipment would be placed on hold and incur even more additonal charges.
After payment was made, I was advised by Intlmove another week later that the earliest shipping time would be in 6 weeks with an estimated time of arrival in Shanghai 3 months after my initial pick-up date.
They have all my household goods, I am stuck in a foreign country without recourse and I do not know if they will slap me with "warehousing fees" at the moment. Customer service has stopped responding to emails and turned everything over to the Operations Department.
At this point the additonal charges are the least of my worries. I have to make living arrangements for a move that has gone from 4-5 weeks to 3 months now and there is nothing I can do about it.
Stay away from this company for goodness sake! You will regret ever having dealt with them!
