Macy has a policy. When someone is hired they have about three months to get customers to open a certain amount of Macy's card. For part time workers is 7 and full time is 12.
If you don't open that amount within the time limit you get fired. Mostly everyone has one already and if they don't they don't want to open one. It's basically open accounts you keep your job if you don't you lose it.
I think that this shouldn't be part of the requirements. We never know when someone is going to come and open one. What if three months goes by we ask every single customer if they would like to open one and they never do. We lose the job.
