This whole nightmare started on 8/16/02. I scheduled a move with Nationwide Van lines. I sent all the information about the articles I wanted moved. They in turn return with a quote. I spoke with a Deibys Pinto, who I did all of my transactions with. I was told a quote of $1587.50. The move was suppose to take place on August 28.

My work schedule changed so the date was changed to a Friday in September. Unfortunately the date I picked fell on the beginning of one of the Jewish holidays so I was contacted and asked if I could reschedule. I told them that would not be a problem so the date was re-scheduled.

At the very beginning of the process i specifically asked if I could pay with a personal check because it was hard for me to get to the bank through the week, she specifically responded by telling me that would be no problem. Each and every time I spoke with her I asked the same question about the personal check the response was the same.

Finally the date was set for November 8. I left Lusby, Maryland, which is where the furniture was to be moved to from Yeadon, Pennsylvania, which is outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I left Lusby, Maryland at 3:30AM on November 8 to arrive in Yeadon, Pa by 7:30AM. The mover were suppose to be at my home between 8:00AM and 10:00AM.

I lessen the articles they were suppose to move because I was not taking everything I had said earlier. So that brought the move down to $967.00. The mover did not arrive until 1:30PM because first of all they did not know where they were going.

The company did not give them any type of itinerary with directions. I had to stay on the telephone and give them directions to my house. They claim they were on the road looking for my house for 4 hrs. I know that was a lie. They arrive with (2) people (a man and a boy). Plus the truck was a Ryder truck.

The only furniture they moved was a entertainment center from the living room, a dining room table, (6) chairs, server in dining room, (2) piece china closet, queen size bed, cedar chest, chaise lounge, (2) piece dresser and chester drawers. They had no drawers to move because they were already taking. The only (3) items they had to wrap because they had glass in them were door on the entertainment center, hutch part of the china closet and the hutch part of the dresser. All they used was that popcorn plastic and (4) rolls of tape.

When they finished, they gave me a price of $1900.00. I was mad. Their reply was that the company always gives the wrong estimate. They were suppose to deliver the furniture on the next day, which was Saturday November 9. Driving back home I was getting madder and madder. Saturday comes I waited all day long for the movers to arrive, no movers.

I tried to call they company was not open on Saturday. Sunday morning my son-in-law called at 11:00AM. I'm am listening on the other end of the phone while this man lies, lies, lies. The clinche of the conversation comes when this idiot tells my son-in-law that the movers tried to give me the check back and said they would get the whole amount on the next day when they deliver the furniture. Then he said they called from my house to tell their supervisor that I had given them a personal check.

First of all my telephones down stairs do not work. The only telephone working was upstairs in one of the bedrooms. They did not go upstairs. This man named Joshua on Sunday was so nasty and arrogant. So through all of this we set up a date for Monday November 25. Then he said we had to give him a window to work with so we said November 23rd, 24th or 25th.

Today Sunday November 17th, we called just to verify the move for next week on the dates i just mentioned. I spoke with a lady named Julia who said the date would be November 26th or November 27th.

I just discussed with them that I want it delivered on November 23rd. 24th or 25th. I am so upse right now because they are just jerking me around and I don't like it. What if anything can I do. I absolutely hate this company. They have lied from the very beginning and all I want is my furniture. What can I do?
