I joined Sams Club in St Louis immediately after
they opened back in 60's. Was one of the first
to join from the military. Have always been a member
and made purchases of sometimes around $300.00 a
month. Well in the last few years these people without my approval have charged my sams card
membership dues, the last two years they even
put another persons dues on my credit card. Its
bad enough getting charged for my own on the credit
card (without my approval) but then putting an
assoc. Member on my card and charging my credit
card is not right. I have had no luck talking to
the high level people at sams hq., they told me
to go to the sams club in Springfield, Il. The
only thing I can get out of them is it will not
happen in the future and they cancelled my card
out. I had already done this with the Hq.in
Ark., but they were about to do it again to me. I
explained I had paid them off (my full acct.)
because of this practice. I will never sign up
as a member again. I guess what I want to pass
on to people on this site. Watch your statements
very close. These are true scam tactics a lot of
these clubs pull on the average citizen. The
credit card companies do this all the time too..
WATCH YOUR STATEMENTS VERY CLOSELY. To catch
these swindlers. If you sign up for Sams. Tell
them you do not want them to chg your dues to your
credit card. And definitely do not want assoc
members dues to be chg to your acct. You know
what the lady told me at Sams in Spr. Il. You did
not read the very fine print on appl. It says
sams can do this. Just a warning to you that sign
up with Sams. Watch these uncouth tactics.
