I tried to locate 16 classmates that moved since our last class reunion. I tried Net Detective because ConsumerGuides.org stated that it was the best people finder - must have been a very older article because the people finder I used 5 years ago out performed Net Detective. Also Net Detective is no longer on their new list of people finders.
15 had unlisted numbers or they passed away and could not be located with the white pages. I tried People Finders at the same time without paying. People Finders stated that they had addresses for 12 and Net Detective for 2 of the 16. People Finders also had the correct age of the person and Net Detective had no age displayed.net Detective had "No Results" for 8 of the 12. The other 4, neither search engine located.
Don't know if People Finders actually did have addresses for those people. Will have to pay to find out. Also People Finders can search the complete USA while Net Detective can only do it state by state. I am requesting a refund from Net Detective and will file a complaint with the state Attorney General if I do not receive it. Misleading advertising constitutes fraud in every state. If the Florida Attorney General receives enough complaints he/she will go after them.
