Where do I begin?
Well, it all started when me and my little brother and sister were looking for dogs to adopt online.
We came across white maltese puppies that were being given away for free. So niavely, i emailed this woman with some questions and she replied very very quickly asking me questions like -
What do you do for a living?
Do you have kid?
Have you ever had a puppy before?
Where are you located?
Are you a breeder?
Do you have a big environment?
So anyway, we emailed for about 3 days and i would always get a quick response from her, but in all the remaining emails - they always asked me for my details so she could carry on with the transaction, eventually i gave them to her.
(at this point i should mention her grammar wasn't the best)
The next day, i got an email from this delivery agency that is supposedly based in Dundee, Scotland and i rang them up, the guy on the phone asked me for a reference number for the 90 delvery fee - i was so confused and he was really pushing and persistant, i finally understood that the money was to be sent through a money gram to Camaroon. So i sent it.
Then the next day the guy rings again and says that another 300 has to be paid, but this was refundable. I was a bit confused, but again i sent it.
A few days later, another 300 and 185 were sent. - I know i was dumb and stupid but i thought that each time would be the last time. As it stands, the "last payment" needing to be paid is 500 which i told them i can't pay - because i actually can't. So the woman emailed me again saying she paid 250 and i will only have to pay 50. I told them a few days ago that i would see what i can do, but from reading the other reports on this scam - they'll get nothing more from me.
I am so ashamed and annoyed at myself for falling for this, i honestly didn't think people could be this cruel. My parents are absolutely furious, i have no more money left of my student loan and nothing to show for it. On top of that, the stress this has caused be has resulted in slipping grades
i gave them the benefit of the doubt, and i paid for it - heavily.
I can't believe that nothig has been done about them, hopefully no one else will fall for it.
