Do not auto pay and check your billing

I have been using auto pay by credit card to pay my Direct TV bill for the last few years. Recently the expiration date of my credit card on file was expired and notice by the automatic phone system to me, i change and updated my credit card on file the very next day on their system.

Here's the problem, DirecTV charge to your card on the billing date instead of the due day, since i update the info of their system and is available for them to bill, they did nothing and on next month bill they tag on the late fee of $4.58. Called them talk to their employee #V1564 and he said nothing they can do about it, as i go thru the bill i found one item relate to equipment protection plan which i did not ordered, $5.99, it was added on late Dec 07 when i inquire about some HD channels (73,75, 76,79) that no longer free with HD access fee. Can you image they will charge you $10 to remove it when you never order it in the first place. I am thinking it is a ripp-off, so i report it.

1) Do not thinking it is a small amount, they have millions of customer.
2) Do not auto pay, let them get their money on the due date.
3) Ask for paper statement, let them lick their stamp. (I was using e-statement and here they ripp u off).
4) Check for alternate programing, i am exploring the Fios programing from Verizon.
