On my December 31 and January 31 AT&T bills, a total of $13.90, plus $1.53 (Dec.) and $1.42 (Jan.) for a "Universal Service Fund" was billed by Mainstreet Telephone (presumably for its "Platinum Plan").
I had never heard of this company before, and certainly didn't contract anything with them since IDT handles my long distance, and AT&T the local and dsl.
When I called AI&T billing, I was told that AT&T had no knowledge of this company. I was given this telephone number to contact Mainstream: 888-472-8724.
I called the number twice, and it rang unanswered indefinitely. Whoever is behind Mainstream should be prosecuted for fraud, and the victims recompensed.
