On February 19th I upload my resume to a service called Resumebouncer or Resume Bouncer. The web site promises to send your resume plus a cover letter to relevant hiring agencies. Once I uploaded my resume and told the service where to send it to. After completing this portion it (the site) stated that is would email my resume to 392 different agencies, mostly in Texas. Resume Bouncer also states that you would hear from agencies within hours.
I found that statement far-fetched but certainly expected some results within 24 hours at least an email. Of course to date, 8 days later, I haven't heard a peep from any of those so called hiring agencies. On the 21 I contacted Resume Bouncer and of course they still have not replied. On the 25th I contacted them again, still no reply. I think this is the fine print or poor engrish stated on their contact page:
Contact Resume Bouncer
Contact via Email
Job Seeker Questions: [email protected]
Submit a Testimonial: [email protected]
*Due to the high volume of email some will be answered within 24 hours* (Resumebouncer, P. 1).
I don't know what caused me to use this horrible service, perhaps a mental slip. I saw the service advertised on Monster.com in an email about a career fair in my area. You would think that Monster.com would be more careful about who they are doing business with.
