I bought two $2 african star prepaid phone cards and used the first one on monday february 18. My first call did not go thru, yet this company deducted 33 cents from the card. I tried again, the phone rang but no one picked it up. The answering machine did not come on, and yet they deducted another 26 cents. I called their customer service number written on the card (888-733-8240) and the man i spoke with said that they will refund me the 59 cents but that i could use my card in 24hours. This happened on monday. Well on friday the 22 of february i tried to use the same card and now they said i had only 13 cents remaining and the my card had expired! I called customer service again and they refused to do anything.infact they told me that i was being charged $1.28 for maintenance fee. Meanwhile on the card it says 49 cents per week maintenance fee! I then used the second card and exactly the same thing happend. The call did not go thru and i tried again and was told i had only $1.74. This phone company are ripoffs and they prey on immigrants that use them to call family members abroad. Please help in stopping them
