Kathleen has not disclosed her close, personal relationship with the sellers of a property in which she is the neighbor. Due to that relationship, and maybe even more importantly: her own personal desire to maintain the value of a house that is quite similiar to hers (which will create a better value for her so that she may sell her own home) she has pushed an undesirable home at a very high price onto her unsuspecting customers.
As a customer of hers, I was able to find adjacent properties, at much better values than her listings, very easily. I could not believe the unethical behavior that she exhibited in regards to trying to push properties towards me that were not valued well, just to bring a larger commission to herself. I was stunned.
She creates a persona in which she structures her sales around that Gateway community, when in reality she is trying to raise values so that she can take more out of her own house, and leave the area, leaving her customers holding the bag. For further proof, she reported to ABC channel 7 news online (see: abc-7.com November 28th) "in tears" no less:

"Ciaffone lives right across the street from the landfill.
"We came to where we thought we'd be happy at. We have to move if our health doesn't get better, " said Ciaffone.
She says her children and her neighbors suffer from fevers and sore throats. According to her the problems can all be blamed on the odors and gasses coming from the landfill.
It is very unethical of her to structure the personal value of the home like she is doing in order to satisfy her hidden agenda, and quite honestly, with the comments she personally delivered to the news resource, ABC news, I would say it is outrageous that is is moving people into the direct area that is causing her family such horrible sickness. And you can bet she never disclosed that fact to me either, which seems should have been material information in my decision making.
