I was told by Mike P back in August that he would sell my timeshare for $899 in 30 to 45 days, and they will make their money off of the interest they charge the clients who are buying the property. After convincing me to do the deal I sent them the money and called him once a week. After 2 months my file was sent to David Harris who just happened to have an offer on my timeshare the day I called for the amount I was asking. He told me to call him back the following Wednesday to make sure everything was good. I called him back the following Wednesday and he tells me the doctor backed out of the deal. He said he would continue to market my property and would get back with me.
After hearing nothing from the company I called back again, this time Samantha had taken over my file. She tells me that she is marketing my property and will let me know when it sells. January 19, I call her and she tells me she has a buyer who wants to buy the property for $1000 less than the last offer, except this time she can't do anything with my property until she receives another $1199. This is the first time I had heard anything about a fee for $1999. She tells me it is standard for all clients, but apparently noone felt they needed to disclose this information until after the property was "sold" for the second time. When I asked her why this information wasn't in writing on the contract I signed, she said they don't have contracts it is just a receipt. To my knowlege, most receipts do not have Agreement terms on them with my signature. I would have never accepted this agreement for the dollar amount they are claiming that I owe.
I know that we have probably lost our $899, but hopefully noone else will fall for this scam this company seems to be pulling on everyone who has a timeshare.
