At vector's like some of the other reports that i have read, it was very easy to get hired. The first interview was fine i was only there about an hour and a half, and was so happy that i finally got a job. My training was to start the first weekend after the new year of 2008.
So then i waited for my first day of training and when it finally came and i was so exited. The problems didn't began until i got home that night. On saturday night january 5th i got a call from someone at vector's saying that he needs to reschedule my training for the following wednesday and thursday of next week.
So i said fine because i really needed this job to help pay for collage, so i agreed to come in on wednesday and thursday. Then on tuesday night i got another call from someone working at vector telling me that i need to come in the following day. I informed that person on the phone that i had already did my first day of training. Then she asked if i was going to come in early wednesday morning.
I said no and tokd her that i would be there tomorrow. When i got off of the phone i told my mom that she needed to call me in for tomorrow, because i needed to go to the job traning. Both of my parent became very upset.
So i go in the next right after my father left to go home, only to find out that is was the first day of training all over again. The disrict manager there told me that i was welcome to stay throught the lesson if i wanted to. I told him no and that i was missing a day of school on a count that i want this job so bad.
So i left thinking to myself that my dad wornd me that this might happen and he started saying it after i got the first call saturday night. So i went outside to call my dad in tear, he of course was very mad for one because i missed school for something that i wanted to do, and also wasted gas to come and drop me off for a worthless cause.
So me dad pulled up to the building about 15 minutes after i called, stead of just getting in the car to go home my dad decided that he wanted to go in and say a few words to the district manager himself. So he walked in there and told that guy that he thought that their training sucked and that he thought that it was "bs" for me to get off and miss school just to get the job. Now in the beganing i didn't have a problem missing one day of school for that training, but to miss two or more to do it was rediculous.
