My parents wanted to move their belongings from the
Central coast up to the bay area, so my mom asked me to
Secure a uhal truck with my direct merchants bank credit
Card. I called rufus at uhal / life-style auto sales and
Gave him my credit card number to secure a rental. The
Only way my card was supposed to be billed was if my
Parents cancelled the rental, then i would owe the
Deposit of $100.00.
My parents came down and moved their belongings with the
Uhal truck that i secured with my card. They dropped the
Truck off in livermore, ca. And paid their debt in cash.
I received my credit card statement a couple of week
Later and there was a credit for $722.00 from uhal. On
My next statement there was a charge for $722.00 from
Uhal to zero out the balance. Little did i know that
They were going to charge me $722.00 one more time to
Make it look like i now was paying what i owe.
Uhal was not supposed to charge anything to my card in
The first place, but let's say i did owe for the rental
Of the truck. There is no way it would cost $722.00 to
Rent the uhal for the 250 mile trip from santa maria to
Livermore, ca. My credit card company (direct merchants
Bank) has been fighting with uhal for the past year over
This and these bastards are actually denying the claim.
