Should you ever, EVER, come into contact with this company, don't walk but RUN away from them. They also do business as ABC Distributing and they are located in Bannockburn, IL.
They specialize in "gifty" type stuff for businesses. They'll send out catalogs to businesses a few times a year, especially in November. We received one of their catalogs and decided to order a few things for both personal and business gifts.
Up through placing the actual order was a pleasant experience. It went downhill quickly after that.
—They bill you for the shipping as they apparently can't determine that charge up front, due to items being shipped from different warehouses. All told, our order came to about $56. The shipping we were finally billed for came to over $17! One of the items we ordered was a throw blanket. Price of the blanket was $5.95 and the shipping on it was $4.25!
—One of the items we ordered was canceled due to them having no more in stock. We didn't find out about this until I checked the order status on the website. Given that these items are advertised as being GIFTS, you'd think they'd at least drop an automated email letting you know you won't be getting something that you ordered.
—A week after placing the order online, we received postcards in the mail notifying us that because we were a new customer, we'd have to prepay for the order. They couldn't tell us that when we placed the order? I asked them about this and was told that their system required those postcards in order to credit payments properly. Makes no sense to me but whatever.
—When I asked them to provide to me a detailed account invoice, showing what we ordered, what was shipped, what we have paid, and what we owe, I was told I'd have to DRAFT A LETTER to them with this request. They are unable to just provide it upon phone request.
In all my years, I've never dealt with such a rinky-dink outfit like this. As I told "Patty" on the phone today, I'm making it a mission for this year to tell every single person I can about my experience with their company.
