I purchased sunglasses from netshades on eBay on July 17. Although the sunglasses were shipped, FedEx never delivered them. I contacted customer service at netshades beginning in September to inform them of the problem and was told that I needed to contact FedEx myself to initiate a claim. Clearly, this information is incorrect as the shipper is the purchaser of an insurance policy. After I verified that with FedEx and explained to netshades customer service how to do their job, netshades filed a claim with FedEx.
On November 16, FedEx verified with me that the claim had been approved for payment. Despite my best efforts to contact netshades and its parent company, Infonet Holdings LLC, they have been unresponsive. I have received no communication from either company since October 24, when customer service acknolwedged that they had twice asked their sales department to follow up with me.
I have filed a complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center, and as I am an attorney, I will be suing netshades in Kansas. NO ONE should ever purchase from netshades, despite their appealing prices, unless he or she is prepared to get ripped off.
