Walmart sells gift cards for locations that are not near their stores. I bought 4 gift cards from Walmart for a Movie Theater for Christmas gifts.
Come to find out, there are only 2 theaters in WV that take these cards. Both are approx. 150 miles from the store that I bought the cards at.
Walmart refuses to give me a refund on the cards or even exchange them for a Walmart gift card. It is embarrassing having to take the cards back from the people that they were given to, and now I have to send the cards back to the Theater company and wait approx. 12 weeks to get a refund.
If you buy a card from Walmart, make sure that there are local stores that accept the cards or you have wasted your money, because Walmart refuses to give refunds or exchanges on gift cards even though they can not be used.
