I ordered a cookbook set from two young people in Clearwater, FL. The girl, Lenicia Appleton, claimed to be trying to go on an educational trip to learn Spanish. She needed to sell a certain number of books or magazines to earn this trip. She promised that the set I ordered would be delivered by Christmas and even wrote "2-4 weeks" on the receipt. I ordered them on November 20. It is January 3rd and I had not received my order. I contacted the customer service number provided - which is United Family Circulation, and was told that orders take 8 weeks or more. She apologized for the "mistake". This was no mistake. I was intentionally mislead by Ms. Appleton to get the sale. I have done research and found out that this company has no "educational" attachment. These young people work to earn money and trips that have nothing to do with furthering their education. This is a scam and I caution others who want to help these young people that they are only overpaying for these items and are being MISLEAD.
