Ashton Danbury called me on numerous occasions to utilize their services for phone direct marketing campaign for our seminars boasting about how their response in my market was typically between five to eight percent from a calling list of approximately 3000 names. I was skeptical but had told them that if we received those types of numbers attending our seminar we would be happy to pay for their services.
The next call I received, I should have been nervous when they said they don't accept credit cards. They are pretty convincing telling you how good they are at their services so we sent them a certified check to start our marketing campaign. We always have about a three percent return from our direct mail campaigns locally, and we do between 10 to 15 seminars a year.
So I thought with their expertise we should expect at least a three percent return. We had a zero percent return! Not one person showed up at our seminars. They called a list of names most of which were too far away from our seminar to even think about attending. We were so surprised by this that we called all of the so called attendees that they supposedly booked and not one was planning on attending. We informed Ashton Danbury of this and asked for a refund not only did they refuse but they said the only refund would be giving us more of their services.
We absolutely did not want this company representing us or our services in the future, due to the responses that we received on the phone from the supposed attendees that we called. We explained this to Ashton Danbury and every step of the way was a new excuse why they were not supplying us with a refund. We have told them that we would file complaints and still nothing.
