Do not call THEM if you recieve an e-mail after ordering a low price item. READ TERMS AND CONDITIONS 15% restock fee

I ordered on a Sunday evening a DSC-T200 Sony Digital Camera on line from this company, simply put they offered the best price. To my surprise the next morning I did not recieve the industry standard e-mail stating the order was being processed. I

Nstead I received an e-mail stating the following in short:

"Thank you for your order.in order to further verify your order, we will need to speak with you on the phone. Please call our Verification department at 1-800-815-2040 Ext. 203 Steve so we may verify and complete processing your order."

Unfortanately, I made the call. Steve was kind and very helpful about the additional high priced accessories I would need for the camera and I accepted not having much knowledge in this area. Although, he said I could return any of them within 21 days if I was not satisfied. He never mentioned that this was considered so called "Package Deal Price" sale now.

The sago continues... I never received e-mail breaking down the cost of each item purchased after agreeing to purchase the camera and the additional accessories. I did however receive one stating the order had been shipped with a track number. No cost again what so ever were mentioned on this e-mail.

I receiced the order approximately 5-7 days later. The packing list was vague only a lump sum total, still no indication of how much each item cost. The order was missing two of the five items he agreed to ship me. I knew at this point I had been SCAM even to the point that in my mind they were trying to trick me into thinking that the battery charger that came with the camera was the one I order at an additional $149.00. However, this is only my feeling.

The next morning I called the company and spoke to a customer service rep about all the issues I had with the way they were doing business. I basically told the person I would prefer to ship back the accessories versus them sending me the two items that were missing from my order. To my surprise, I was told this was not possible because this was purchased as a "Package Deal Price". So, if I did not want the accessories I would have to send the camera back also. However, they would have to charge me a 15% restocking fee and the shipping cost are non-refundable. The restock fee on my order would total approximately $90.00. Has anyone ever heard of this?

My loss on this order if I return it will be approximately $130.00 with nothing to show for it.

At this point I was solicited even further. Since they wanted to keep me as a customer, they would send me the missing battery charger (I did not need this since one was including with the camera) and the case but in addition they would add a memory reader stick, tripod and cleaning kit. The story goes on and on.

At present this issue is not resolve. I have contacted American Express disputing the charges. When I disclosed this to them they were not happy they even offered to deduct $50.00 from the order.

Please do not order from this company. Also, be aware that they operate under different company names. Stay away from NEW YORK.

This is a stressful thing to have to deal with at any time but at Christmas when stress is high it really makes me sad. How do poeple who work for a company like this sleep at night.
