It would be wonderful if "free" money came to the hardworking but still struggling families in the UK, God knows we need it. You could be forgiven for the overwhelming sense of relief that you feel when a letter comes through your door announcing that suddenly you dont have to worry about such things.
Over looking the shoddy design of the seemingly lazy official letter, is easy knowing that within the next two weeks a sum of "NINE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED AND TEN EUROS" in cash is coming your way. All common sense leaves you and again it is understandable if you pick up the phone as I sceptically did, questioning the errr... Nervous man on the end of the phoneline, his lack of confidnce whilst trying to convince me that this company was really genuine did not favour him so well. I came off the phone now fuming that some robbing b*d was tring to get hold of my bank details with absolutely no intention of putting any money in there (surprise, surprise) after already probably having made money from me ringing up what was probably a premium phoneline.
Anyway, what seems to good to be true, and plays on what almost everyone in the world (espeically single parent familes) craves more of money, will almost always be to good to be true.
EL GORDO, RAUL TORRES and my reference no were all fictional and I was left feeling slightly abused, naive and vulnerable that such things could happen again.
The EL GORDO SPANISH SWEEPSTAKE INTERNATIONAL LOTTERY PROGRAM is a fake and I hope that anyone reading this has not been as naive as me as to go, however sceptically, straight to the phone and wasted time, and perhaps their well earned honest money.
