Basically dish network dipped into my checking out and took funds out that was not theirs to take.
Here's a brief summary of what has happened so far.
My fiance and I lived together. She ordered dish network.
In order to have the service they said she had to have a credit / debit card. She didnt have one so I gave her permission to use mine. That ONE time. Btw. They didnt ask to speak to me to verify that she could infact use my card.
Within one week of having the service we received our 1st bill. That was the 1st problem, the 2nd was when she realized the bill wasn't $35.76 it was actually $55.00. Well we live on a budget but we managed. Anyways, we decided about 2 weeks into the service we did not just disliked the service but absolutely hated it. We could unplug our cords to the receiver and hook up our antenna from outside and actually not have to pay to get the local news channel. Thats freakin sad. But We figured we should just go ahead and keep it for another month or so and get our cable bill taken care of then we would go back to cable.
Well thats not going to happen at this point. Last Tuesday dish dipped into My checking acct and the darn bill isnt even in my name.
Im not on the acct. Heck they even said.
Sir Im sorry but we can not speak to you in regards to this bill because you are not an authorized user on the acct.
Another thing that we both told dish was that my fiance never signed the contract, the service man ask if I could sign it because she was in the shower. So I did. We spoke with a supervisor and told her that she needed to look at the contract she said she was looking at it. There is no way the supervisor was looking at the contract, if she had been then she would have seen my signature on the contract and my fiance' on the acct.
I said the equipement would be returned but she said they will only refund the funds they took for the equipment not the rest. What all those charges are I couldnt tell you but there is so far 7 charges 6 are still pending all this just since we spoke to them last Tuesday. We have filed a dispute and have told the banks to close the acct. And they have agreed.
However Dish has said no REFUNDS! They insist its all in the contract and that my fiance' signed it.
What can we do? Hopefull the bank will not let those charges go through. How can we stop this and get our funds back?
