DISH Network
HBO Promotion Charges and $240 Cancellation Fee on Alleged 24-Month Contract

Shops, Products, Services Anonymous 82217 0

I called an 866 number provided in my local telephone book's yellow pages the week of 6/25/08 to get pricing on DISH Network's installation and package pricing. A woman answered (apparently very young) and said for signing up with DISH Network I would receive 3 months of HBO free. I said ok. In ...

Miscellaneous Sean250 0

After a late August billing dispute with AT&T, I paid $414 on September 16th, the full amount of requested money so that my service with DISH Network would resume. In dealing with customer service issues, I asked to cancel, but was told I'd have to pay to do so, so I said I would continue on ...

My husband is in the Air Force and we had Dish for a year before he had to deploy to Iraq. We had minor issues with them at first, the network went out while he was deployed, I called customer service to have the issue resolved, after being on hold and passed around from one rep. To another I ...

I tried to set up Dish service thru embarq (it's a promotion where you sign up for phone, internet, & satellite and get a year of tv for free). The first available date they had to install the dish (I already have a dish on the house... So "install" isn't really accurate) was two ...

Dish Network
Billed for Old Receivers Taken by DirecTV Installer, Sent to Collections

Electronics and household app. SM22 0

Because two installers of Dish were unable to upgrade my equipment to HD I switched to Direct TV. The technician for Direct TV took the old Dish receivers with him as I assumed they were of no use (kind of like old mattresses). Obviously, they cannot be activated without Dish assistance. I am now ...

Dish Network
Late Fee Charged After Changed Billing Cycle and Paperless Setup

Shops, Products, Services Anonymous 79185 0

When I signed up for Dish Network, the phone rep said I would be billed for 2 months because that's how they do their billing - 2 months at a time. I received the first bill, which was for 2 months, and paid it. Then, the next month, I received another bill, which I thought was odd because they had ...
