A teenager/student solicitor came to my door & represented herself as a student selling magazine subscriptions in order to earn award points in some National Award Program.
In her sales pitch, she stated that this company, Services Unlimited Plus was a clearing house for the list of magazines on her broucher. The brocher contained approx. 50 plus of the most popular subscriptions on the market.in addition, Services Unlimited Plus was providing the opportunity for students like herself to develop their sales skills through this door to door scam. The goal is to sell enough subscriptions in order to earn the maxium points to win a paid trip to some exotic country.
The detail of information provided in hardcopy format, down to the receipt for your subscription, appears to be legit.in addition, the student provides you with alternative methods of contacting the company in case you have any questions. However, only via a website & address -no phone number. Only later to find out there both invalid. Naturally, since I never did receive my magazines in the mail.
