On August 2, my bank, Bank of Elmwood, Racine, WI 53405, charged me $48.79 from AMR LD SERVICE PLAN 800 218951 CH.
I called my bank, but that is all the information that they had. I thought maybe it was from something I ordered thru Free Gifts on the internet.
Today, September 12, I called a telephone number from my bank, whereby I can obtain an up-to-date report of my account, and I noticed the charge of $48.79 that I didn't recognize. I called my bank's Checking Account Department, and they gave me the same information as was on the August 2 charge. Then, I became suspicious.
I asked my son to look up the information I had up on the Internet. Then, up came: usacomplaints.com. After I read this page, I knew what had happened.
My bank's Vice-President/Security Officer is going to look into the matter, and as soon as I can, I am going to report this to the FBI Internet Fraud site.
