My air conditioner was serviced on September 6 by a company American Home Shield contracted with. The contractor notified me that a part needed to be replaced. The contractor stated they had to research the part and see if it was still available, due to the air conditioning unit not being new. The part was unavailable, thus they turned it back over to AHS. Then, AHS informed me that they had to do their own research to see if the part was truly unavailable. Needless to say the part does not exist and AHS will now have to replace the air conditioning handler. During this entire process I have not had air conditioning in my house and therefore could not live in the house because it is September in South Florida!!! It is now three weeks since I have had a.C. And the equipment is lost. AHS is blaming the carrier and is unwilling to ship another part over night. I have had AHS for 3 years and this is the first time I have needed to use their services, needless to say I wish I had never signed up for their warranty and given them any money. It is a complete waste of time and my money would have been better spent elsewhere.
Oh forgot to mention, they offered me $60 dollars for a fan to blow hot air, but they now aren't even giving me the $60 credit.
