Model search america is a scam, and i am a victum of that scam, i went to vegas in april of this year. The whole thing was bull crap the ist night was a bunch of mud duck speakers telling you crap you already know or read! The second day was the event they herd you across a stage like a bunch of cattle and have you show 2 pictures walking past like your in the tv show amazing race and they chagred me about 800 and then flight was 500 i spent at least 1500 that weekend! They have no intentions on getting you discovered, ya best bet is to get with an agency in your hometown and start there even though it maybe a small agency it's free. Nobody should have to pay for modeling when you got it you got it and they know it!
They gave me one call back but it was for the school of film and television in new york the finale of the scam! I was wondering how can a school give you callback to pay to go there for the summer. The cost was 4000 to go just for 5 weeks and they said you get a scholarship mines was 500 but they wouldn't apply that to my balance until i paid the whole total first which is dumb.
Then the school called me a million times a day to pay the down payment telling me its one seat left i paid them in total 1000 to this day and they don't give refunds if you can't pay all your money i never heard of a college who don't give you a refund for your money and class wasn't starting for another 3 months! I paid that money way before class started. All these places are cronies and is getting a piece of the pie just to show up! They have nointentions on chosing anyone and you don't know anyones name to google them because at the event they just have the name of the company listed for example elite and there's a person sitting behind the name. So for we know the people could be family and not even from the agencies!
I got ripped off and i will never do model search america again and to make it so bad i am pretty and have a nice body. Oh yeah and your runway pics are horrible especially if they caught you with your eyes closed like they caught me and then wanted me to purchase them!
Trust me it's a scam i been had don't believe nobody who asks you over the phone for 500 dollars and tell you you been selected to model and don't even know if you got teeth in your dang on mouth!
