I am writing this report to agree 100% and more to the report given by Sherrie from Provo, utah. I, too, attended Quest and Summit last October and experienced the same thing that she did and even more. My experince went beyond the end of the class finding myself intimately involved with a devout 20 year old Mormon woman. Believe me, I know what you're all saying, since I was 56 years old at the time. Do I believe this would have ever happened if I hadn't been emotionally manipulated through the process.
My own 21 year old daughter has her own opinion, but it can't be repeated on this report. When I arrived I learned that Utah had the largest amount of depression per capita in the United States and this was stated by the Instuctor. Also the largest drug use, rape, unreported rape and axiety medication users in the USA. Again, all of this was told to me by the Instructor, and having never been to Utah, I believed him. Everything Sherrie said is true and more. We were made to promise not to drink, smoke, utilize any aids that stopped you from smoking or date anyone in the class for thirty days after our graduation. They never elaborated on which graduation, as I witnessed and so did my friend, that almost half the class would cheat about drinking and smoking and dating. They don't tell you why not to see anyone else, but later they inform you that the feelings are not real and only last temporarily, after your check clears. The methods they used should be licensed. As they do not reaearch any previous mental health problems, as I discovered with my friend, who had been abused for two years at the age of sixteen, been involved with drugs from her brother, had been raped by four separate men in the last four years, recently by two African American men at the same time, just two years before she attended this. None of this was ever discussed in class by her, yet I heard Horror stories from so many people. They use everyones stories to manipulate your own emotional issues and they exploit all of these in a manner that a licensed therapist would never do.
The whole irony to this is that they will continue this process as nothing will be done to stop them, although I am pursuing the legal process with a vigor, but all that will probably occur is a little public embarrassment for some. I truly feel sorry for all of us that are sucked into something, that once we completed it, no further follow up is done. I simply wonder if any unreported suicides occurred in the state of Utah?
When all was said and done and I asked my friend and her friend to move back to Utah, the whole experince only set me back $ 12,000.00. I wish you all the best, but stay away from Impact or at least leave yourt wallet home.
