My husband ordered a tv from Rent A center last week, and on the contract it says for every late payment, they will charge you an extra 10 percent when you pay late. First off, they delivered our television LATE, so they called us harassing us telling us that they are coming to take the television back because my husband's account has been closed, and they have to open up another one, and he cannot get the 50 dollar money back garaunteed to him.
It hasn't even been a whole week since we have had the tv, so my husband has been on the phone with them, arguing with them that he will make payment on tomorrow, but they told him they cannot accept payment because they donot accept late first payments but they accept late second payments. They came by the house today to pick up the tv, i told them the %'s don't live here anymore. Then slammed the door in their faces!
The contract explicitly says that he can make late payments with no problem, just for him to pay 10 percent extra on the payment. They are harassing his references, they call here 5-6 times per day. The TV never even came with a remote! They told my husband that they have to order it seperately! Wtf?
