I have just became a victom of an unfair act by BLAIR CREDIT CARD AND WORLD FINANCIAL. Someone please tell me how they can approve you for credit and then 8 or 9 mos. Later say oh give it back I am NOT the one who asked for credit THEY are the ones that OFFERED IT. I received a letter today in my mail stating that my BLAIR credit card was opened as part of a special program at the request of Blair. We regret to inform you that the SPECIAL PROGRAM is now over and your account will be CLOSED effective Sept 20. But they STILL want me to ORDER from them using a different way of paying. Then they go on to say that I am still required to pay any existing balance on the account according to the credit card agreement. Well let me tell you. That will be $10.00 a month until its paid. Fight fire with Fire right.
The letter said if you have any questions please contact there Customer Service. I did and was given what was to be a Corp. Number. When I called this number it asked for my acct. Number so I punched it in, Only to hear we are sorry but this offer is no longer in place. So I called it back and acted as if I didnt have my acct number and surprise surprise I heard the same recording. So I called Blair back and this time they transfered me to yet another person from World Financial Customer Service (Terri) this must of been the rudest person I have ever talked to in my life. This gal Yelled at me saying that thats just the way it is and that I could do nothing about it. I asked for the name of the head person at World Financial and she gave me the name of name and come to find out he is the President of Blair Credit Not of World Financial. She said the people I should be talking to was Blair Credit Not HER, and with that she transfered me back to a long waiting line.in the end I did Rec. A number for Blair Credit Card Services and spoke to a very nice gal who said all their memo said was that they have cut 30,000. Credit accts. And that if I wanted I could apply for a Reg credit card with them. However, I will not be applying for there credit card nor will I order from them again. They say word of mouth is better then any advertizing one can do. So my words are going to be..."Dont Shop There" No one said it was a speical deal when I took the card.
